FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA – The Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation is now accepting applications for its Leadership Franklin County (LFC) Community class of 2020.

The LFC Community program is a nine-month leadership training course where professionals gain leadership skills, learn more about the community and find ways to serve local nonprofits. The program also builds a professional networking opportunity to meet over 70 new community contacts. Founded in 1985, it teaches emerging leaders about the community and grows their professional networks. More than 600 individuals have graduated from the program since its founding.

“LFC Community is one of the most unique leadership courses in our area because it introduces our students to the challenges facing Franklin County while also providing the opportunities and resources for the students to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our county,” said Virginia Harriger, executive director of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation. “Our students are brought together across many disciplines and are taught how to improve their leadership skills that will ultimately benefit our community.”

The tuition-based program selects students through an application and interview process; scholarship opportunities are also available. Cost is $1,300 per student and the application deadline is July 1. For more information about LFC Community or to apply, visit FranklinCountyWorks.com/Leadership or contact Harriger at gharriger@chambersburg.org.
