Heritage Retirement Community has announced their first bimonthly Lunch and Learn for 2025. Each Lunch and Learn is free to the public and will be held at Heritage, at 2256 Shanks Church Road, in Greencastle, PA.
TIPS ON HOW TO AVOID FINANCIAL SCAMS & IDENTITY THEFT is the first in the series, and will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. The free lunch and seminar are open to the public for anyone wishing to learn about this topic.
Karen Metz, Assistant Vice President of F&M Trust, Greencastle Office, will be the speaker. The seminar will address: What to look and listen for when identifying a potential scam; steps to take to avoid becoming a victim; how to protect your personal information; and who to contact when your identity has been compromised. Time will be allotted for questions and answers.
While anyone is welcome to attend, since aging adults can be especially vulnerable to scammers, senior adults, and Powers of Attorney (POAs) are encouraged to attend as well
