Event Description:
The Downtown Business Council of Chambersburg is excited to share that Fandom Fest is returning for its second year of fandom fun on May 11th from 9-4. While most of the festivities will be focused in the Chambers Fort Park and Rosedale Parking Lot area, many businesses downtown will be joining in the excitement with their own Fandom Promotions that you will not want to miss.
Those attending will have the opportunity to dive under the seas of the Mermaid Grotto, sponsored by the Cara Sheaffer Group Re/Max 1st Advantage, to meet Gingersnap the Mermaid, Maeve the Mt. Gretna Mermaid, and Candace the Mermaid. Strike up a conversation and have your picture taken with K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, who will be accompanied by The A-Team Van and the RoboCop car, thanks to Levy Metal Enterprises, LLC. Meet adoptable animals from the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter in our “Magical Creatures” area!
Beyond the fun sights and characters to meet, there will be costume contests, brick building competitions, and a scavenger hunt through our main street businesses with cash prizes available for all ages sponsored by the Franklin County Visitor Center, Rockdale Drafting LLC, and Hammer and Stain of Chambersburg, respectively! Special cosplay guests Sharon Rose Cosplay, Megami Cupcake, and Maiacat Cosplay will attend and judge our costume contests!
With over 20 fandom-related craft and collectible vendors, photo ops around the festival area, food, and many activities to participate in; this rain or shine event will be the perfect outing for fans of any fandom and any age!

Attendees are encouraged to park in the Hood Street Lot, the closest lot with handicapped accessibility to the Fandom festivities and the Downtown Chambersburg shopping area.
