Please join the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce for the Annual Business Breakfast - a celebration of 2017 and the future that lies ahead. The breakfast features highlights of the Chamber's accomplishments from the past year and recognition of the 2017 Business Person of the Year.
This year's breakfast also features a keynote about local employment issues and the criminal justice system presented by Kimberly Eaton, Day Reporting Center Program Director for Franklin County. Research shows employment is the number one issue impacting individuals being released from jail and prison. At the same time local employers have an overwhelming need for skilled labor. The solution to these employment problems may be found at the intersection where those with criminal backgrounds meet the needs of industries seeking workers. Eaton will be joined by Ali Washabaugh, a formerly incarcerated local resident who now owns her own business.
